Relocation Relief Schools (RRS)

At BDCF, we believe all children deserve equitable access to structured, formal schooling regardless of background.

Relocation Relief Schools (RRS) has implemented four full-time educational schooling programs for village children displaced by climate change, with 1,962 currently enrolled children from ages 6-15. Our accelerated 3-year program is located directly in slums in partnership with Save the Children. Each child develops foundational mathematical and literacy knowledge to support them in their future studies. Often times, our children are working part-time during the day or night to provide for their families. Relocation Relief Schools (RRS) are structured in learning and flexible in our timing of classes, which ensure no child is left with no ability to receive an education. After each child successfully completes our programming, they are connected to our partnering secondary schools to ensure that they do not go into to full-time work before they are become an adult.
