Cross-Culture Pen-Pal Program (CCPPP)
Creating meaningful cross-culture connections between disadvantaged youth in Bangladesh and youth from the global world.
Be Desi Children's Foundation is excited to launch our Cross-Culture Pen-Pal Program (CCCPP), to foster and create close friendships between the youth we are supporting in the slums of Bangladesh and youth from the global world. Interested students can be matched to a child by completing an online form that will gather the student's interests and hobbies to create an ideal match to a child. After matchmaking occurs, the student will submit their first letter to BDCF and within one week, receive a response letter from their child. The pairing can continue to communicate by exchanging letters through BDCF.
Through CCCPP, we hope to promote high-quality international friendships between two youths that are both different and similar to one another. By learning about each others' cultures, participating youth will benefit immensely. Slum children in Bangladesh oftentimes feel cut-off from the world, alone and isolated in their desolate surroundings. Their daily lives can be difficult, but children are children! They love to meet new people, form bonds, and play. We are excited to offer them an incredible opportunity to meet other youth and form lasting relationships, even when they have so many odds against them.
